It's Halloween. Time for things to be scary. Every channel on TV is playing some sort of ghost hunting show, and I swear TMC has been playing the "Halloween" movies every night. Football can be a scary sport. People get hit really hard, the guys look big and angry, and you never know when Plaxico Burress might accidentally shoot you. In honor of the Halloween weekend, let's take a look at each NFL game this weekend and find the scariest part.Arizona @ Baltimore
Scary Part - The scariest part of this game is going to be watching Kevin Kolb try to figure out the Ravens defense. The Cards went all-in trading for Kolb as their QB, and he's been terrible. Now, he may have lost running back Beanie Wells to an injury which would put even more pressure on his passing ability in a game against the Ravens. That is definitely the scariest part of this game. Either that or Joe Flacco's eyebrows. It's close.
The Pick - Ravens in a big way.
Minnesota @ Carolina
Scary Part - It's scary to think about how good Carolina QB Cam Newton could be. He played one year of major college football, missed all of training camp due to the lockout, and honestly might not have any clue what he's not out there right now. But, he's on pace to throw for over 4,500 yards and he's already ran for 7 touchdowns this season. Imagine if he got to practice for a couple weeks before the season started.
The Pick - The Panthers
Jacksonville @ Houston
Scary Part - Jacksonville's offense has been scary-bad. Through 7 games, the Jags have scored a total of 84 points. That's not good.
The Pick - Houston
Miami @ New York Giants
Scary Part - The performance of the entire Dolphins team has been downright terrifying. Not only are they 0-6, they're talking about getting kicked out of games on purpose, holding ceremonies for college teams to attract crowds, and might fire their coach midway through the first half this week and he knows it because he just put his house in Miami up for sale. Bad times in Miami.
The Pick - The Giants in an easy one.
New Orleans @ St. Louis
Scary Part - We've already talked about how bad Jacksonville's offense has been and how bad Miami as a whole has been, but the Rams have simply been much much worse. Their season has been truly horrifying. They've scored 56 points in 6 games. That's less than 10 points per game. They've been outscored by a total of 115 points so far this year. Three of their six losses have been by more than 20 points, and a fourth was by 18. Atleast the St. Louis Cardinals might win the World Series tonight. That could distract the city from how bad the Rams are for a little while. Of course if the Cards lose, well then the whole city is just full of losers. Sort of like Cleveland. The Pick - The Saints in a blowout
Indy @ Tennessee
Scary Part - What's scary is how bad the Colts got so quickly without Peyton Manning. We all knew he was good, but this good? It's pretty much the same exact team that won the division last year, and now they can't win a single game. They lost by 55 points last week in an embarrassing game. A serious case could be made for Peyton Manning as MVP because no one has proven to be more valuable to his team than Peyton.
The Pick - The Colts lost by 55 last week. However, the Titans lost also lost by 34. I don't know what to think. Both teams can't lose that bad in the same game. I guess I'll just take the Titans.
Detroit @ Denver

| Dear Lord, please help me to no throw like a girl. Amen. |
The Pick - The Lions, although Tebow could always pull out another miracle.
Washington @ Buffalo
Scary Part - Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick's beard. It's scary to look at, and there might be some sort of creature living in there.
The Pick - The Bills
Cincinnati @ Seattle
Scary Part - What would be really scary is if Seattle gave us a repeat performance of the game they played last week against the other Ohio team. Seattle-Cleveland last week was terrible football and even worse television. The Browns technically won the game 6-3, but the world lost by having to witness it. In the game, Seattle gained 137 total yards. Yikes.
The Pick - The Bengals in a really boring game
Cleveland @ San Francisco
Scary Part - Apparently the scariest part of this game for everyone involved is going to be shaking 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh's hand afterwards. You never know when he's going to go crazy and start another handshake fistfight.
The Pick - 49ers win easy
New England @ Pittsburgh
Scary Part - From a Steelers fan point of view, the scariest part will be every time Tom Brady drops back to pass. The Pats seem to always have the Steelers number, Brady is one of the best QBs of all-time, and the Steelers can't cover anybody. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Brady throws for 500 yards, and that scares the hell out of me. The scariest part for Pats fans if probably worry that Mr. GQ Brady decides to go out on the town the night before the game, meets up with Big Ben, and gets into the kind of late night lady trouble that Ben seems to always get into. That has to be their biggest fear, and it might also be the Steelers best chance at stopping Brady.
The Pick - Well of course I just always pick the Steelers.
Dallas @ Philly
Scary Party - Both of these teams have to be terrified of the 4th quarter. They're both talented teams that find new and hilariously awesome ways to lose close games. The Cowboys have squandered 4th quarter leads and lost to the Jets, Lions, and Pats. The Eagles have blown 4th quarter leads against the Falcons, Giants, and 49ers. Really, the first three quarters of this game won't matter because it will just end up being decided by which team chokes the most at the end.
The Pick - I'll take the Cowboys in a close one.
San Diego @ Kansas City
Scary Part - It has to be scary for the Chargers to know that if they lose this game, the Chiefs will pass them for first place in the division when the Chiefs are missing their leading rusher, second leading receiver, this year's first round pick, and their best defensive player. If San Diego blows it with the Chiefs this banged up, someone needs to get fired.
The Pick - Chargers
Last Week: 7-6
Season: 58-29
Manly Man of the Week - David Freese
The St. Louis Cardinals third baseman is a hero right now. With his team facing elimination in the World Series, Freese came through not once, but twice. In the bottom of the ninth with two outs and two strikes, Freese belted a triple off the wall to tie the game. In the bottom of the eleventh, Freese smacked a walk-off home run to win the game. What makes it even better is the fact that Freese grew up in St. Louis. So the guy just saved his team's season, and then won a World Series game with a home run all while playing for his hometown team. That's pretty bad-ass. He's the king of St. Louis for the night, and the Manly Man of the Week.
